Welcome to my brand new blog! Here you will find some old favourites that have inadvertently and undeservedly found themselves being turned into Middle English verse. Some of these were written as teaching aids; others were for my own entertainment, scrawled on the back of an envelope while having lunch, on a post-it note while waiting for a printer or composed on my phone in a bus at rush hour. All were written with love and respect for their original writers and with a complete disregard for dialectal variation when it comes to Middle English. If you are unfamiliar with Middle English and have stumbled upon this blog, I hope it will encourage you to read some real Middle English texts.
